How can I get a show on KWCW?
Each year, KWCW has a fall, spring and summer programming season. Applications are made available outside KWCW’s offices and on kwcw.net approximately two weeks before programming begins.
Who can have a show on KWCW?
Anyone. Broadcasting positions are open to Whitman College staff and students both past and present as well as community members.
How long are shows, normally?
KWCW programs, on average, are one or two hours long based on demand and DJ interest.
What can I do on my radio show?
KWCW is a free-format station, meaning that all genres of music and all styles of show - music, talk, call-in, radio drama, among others, provided it meets FCC rules and regulations - will be considered for airtime.
Can I get a job at KWCW?
Paid positions are only available to current Whitman students. If you are a current Whitman student and interested in a position, we often have openings during the fall and spring semesters. Applications will be made available on kwcw.net or on this tumblr when this is the case.
Can I intern at KWCW?
Certainly! If you’re into unpaid labor, we’ve got plenty of that to go around! Contact us if you’re interested and we’ll work something out.
I am a musician and I want to play a show at Whitman. Can you help us out?
If you are interested in playing at Whitman, please contact the Public Events department of the Associated Students of Whitman College. We would be happy to help with limited in-studio performances and with promotion, but we cannot book concerts ourselves.
I am a musician, music promoter, or record label and I’d like to send music for airplay consideration to KWCW. Where should I send materials?
