Wilco- Wilco, the Song
New song from the forthcoming Wilco album due in June. Apparently the band recorded the bulk of it last month in New Zealand. According to Rolling Stone writer Austin Scaggs who has apparently already heard it: “Great melodies, great lyrics, great playing and great sounds. You’re gonna dig it!” Hopefully this album will be far better than their last release, Sky Blue Sky. If not, I think we can officially declare that Jeff Tweedy is in a mid-life musical crisis: a 40-something year old dude wearing flannels and embroidered jackets (see Lollapalooza 2008) whose new songs are as uninteresting as plain vanilla ice cream.
